Assistant Department Manager Fresh Food Counter | Wildeshausen, Germany | On-site

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Department Manager to lead and inspire a team within a dynamic fresh food counter environment. This role is crucial in maintaining exceptional product quality and delivering outstanding customer experiences, contributing to the success of a highly reputable food retail leader.

The Role

  • Provide deputy leadership for the fresh food counter team, acting as a role model and implementing national sales concepts.
  • Ensure excellent product presentation, freshness, and strict adherence to hygiene standards.
  • Enhance customer engagement through appealing displays, expert advice, and attentive service.
  • Proactively implement sales-promoting initiatives and drive business growth.
  • Oversee key operational aspects including cost and revenue, inventory, pricing, and product flow.

What You'll Need

  • A completed apprenticeship, preferably in food retail, or equivalent experience in baked goods or self-service fresh food counters.
  • Solid knowledge of products, with a keen understanding of freshness and quality.
  • A results-oriented approach with a structured and conscientious work ethic.
  • Strong teamwork, customer focus, and excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating shift system, Monday to Saturday, between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
