Role: Sr. Product Services Engineer

Role Overview

• We are seeking a Sr. Product Services Engineer to join our Product Services Engineering team. This role will support internal and external energy software platforms through root cause analysis, technical troubleshooting, issue resolution, and customer communication.

• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of renewable energy and energy storage systems, along with hands-on experience supporting software applications. You will collaborate with Software Engineering, Data Science, Customer Success, and Business teams to resolve issues and drive product improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer issues, identify root causes, and provide timely resolutions.
• Understand user behavior and usage patterns to reduce support needs.
• Identify product enhancements and help prioritize bug fixes.
• Troubleshoot application issues using logs, data, and monitoring tools.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Provide customer-focused communication and technical guidance.
• Influence the product roadmap based on customer feedback and recurring issues.

Required Skills

• Experience with Unix/Linux command line and SQL.
• Familiarity with Grafana, CloudWatch, or similar monitoring/observability tools.
• Experience identifying model inputs/outputs and debugging software issues.
• Ability to set up a local development environment for troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with AWS S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, and Step Functions.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Fundamental knowledge of renewable energy and energy storage systems.
• Strong root cause analysis, problem-solving, customer communication, and collaboration skills.
