Senior/Lead Decision Scientist

Starbucks is seeking a Senior/Lead Decision Scientist to drive data-informed decisions across our global coffee and food operations. In this role, you will develop advanced analytics, forecasting, and experimentation frameworks to optimize store performance, menu, pricing, and customer experience. You'll partner with marketing, operations, and supply chain teams to translate business questions into data solutions using statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization. You will mentor junior analysts, champion data quality and governance, and help shape Starbucks' data strategy to support sustainable growth and community impact.

Responsibilities

• Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and data solutions.
• Design and execute experiments, A/B tests, and causal analyses.
• Develop statistical and machine learning models for forecasting and optimization.
• Create clear dashboards and visualizations for business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with marketing, operations, and supply chain teams on data-driven initiatives.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and documentation of analytical assets.
• Mentor and guide junior analysts and data scientists.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
