Senior Automation QA Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Automation QA Engineer with 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Playwright, Selenium, ReadyAPI, and Postman, with hands-on experience in designing scalable automation frameworks, API testing, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to lead QA initiatives across Agile teams.

Key Responsibilities
•    Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web and API testing. 
•    Create and execute automated test scripts using Playwright and Selenium WebDriver. 
•    Perform comprehensive API testing using ReadyAPI (SoapUI Pro) and Postman. 
•    Validate REST and SOAP APIs, ensuring data integrity and service reliability. 
•    Develop reusable test suites for functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing. 
•    Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test strategies. 
•    Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.). 
•    Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and work closely with development teams for timely resolution. 
•    Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies. 
•    Review test cases, automation scripts, and mentor junior QA engineers. 
•    Prepare test execution reports, defect metrics, and quality dashboards. 

Required Skills
•    8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance. 
•    Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for modern web automation. 
•    Extensive experience with Selenium WebDriver using Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript. 
•    Strong experience using ReadyAPI for REST and SOAP API automation. 
•    Hands-on experience with Postman for API validation and automation. 
•    Experience in API testing, JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, OAuth, JWT, and authentication mechanisms. 
•    Strong knowledge of SQL and database validation. 
•    Experience with version control tools such as Git. 
•    Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines. 
•    Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. 
•    Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. 

Preferred Skills
•    Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber. 
•    Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter. 
•    Experience with Docker and containerized test execution. 
•    Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform). 
•    Experience testing microservices architecture. 
•    Knowledge of accessibility and cross-browser testing. 
•    Exposure to mobile automation using Appium is a plus.
