Job Description

IT Network Administrator | Norderstedt, Germany | Hybrid

The Role

  • Administration and further development of firewall solutions (e.g., Watchguard, Fortinet) including optimization of rule sets.
  • Management of corporate and machine networks on a VLAN basis.
  • Analysis, reorganization, and planning of the entire network architecture.
  • Contribution to exciting IT infrastructure projects, including network segmentation, potentially in a lead role.
  • Regular review, documentation, and maintenance of existing configurations.
  • Coordination of external service providers to ensure stable and secure operation of the company network.

What You'll Need

  • Completed IT training (e.g., Fachinformatiker/in Systemintegration) or a comparable qualification with experience as a Network Administrator.
  • Very good German language skills in speaking and writing (C1 level).
  • Good knowledge of common solutions like Watchguard, Firebox, HPE Aruba, Fortinet, or comparable products, as well as VPN, VLAN, WLAN, RADIUS, and MFA.
  • Basic knowledge of routing, switching, and common network protocols is desirable.
  • Confident handling of switches and LAN/WAN connections.
  • Practical experience in project work.
  • Independent, structured, and responsible working style, with strong communication skills.
