Pay Range: $21- $24/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Interview patients and collect accurate demographic and insurance information
- Enter and update patient information in the computer system
- Establish and maintain patient records, including demographic, financial, and insurance allocation information
- Identify and enter appropriate insurance codes
- Obtain required patient consents and authorizations
- Verify and process insurance and financial information accurately
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide professional customer service
- Coordinate with department scheduling staff to meet patient scheduling needs
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling patient information
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Must have; Patient Registration / Patient Admitting
- Insurance Verification & Authorization
- EMR/EHR & Data Entry
- Customer Service & Communication
- 1–2 years of registration, admitting, or clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Strong computer and data-entry skills.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
