Software Support Engineer

Responsibilities

Reports to the Escalation Team Manager, the Software Support Engineer will serve as an integral part of the Support Team tasked with the important role of providing front-line support services to our customers for systems developed by Red Book Connect. This position responds to routine and complex customer inquiries. Primary focus is on providing assistance and basic trouble shooting regarding service delivery, installation, outages, code, database and other technical issues. You'll work directly with Customer Care, senior members of Escalations and Product Development team to learn about our process and best practices, and your contributions will have a daily impact on our community of thousands of daily users.

Desired Skills and Experience

• 1 - 2 years C# & ASP.NET development experience
• Experience with SQL and related technologies
• Solid experience maintaining, debugging and supporting web / mobile applications in a SaaS environment
• Ability to work independently and in groups, with excellent team communication skills

Experience with the following is a plus

• 1 - 2 years Java web based application development experience
• Tomcat

Qualifications

• Only Sydney, AU based candidates will be considered.
• BS in Computer Science preferred and/or equivalent work experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Able to discuss technical issues with non-technical audiences
• Must be able to handle multiple issues concurrently and see them through to resolution
