Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Security Technical Program Manager (Security TPM) to lead complex cross-functional hardware and infrastructure programs supporting next-generation server and cloud platform initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing hardware development lifecycles, firmware readiness, manufacturing programs, and cross-functional engineering teams while driving project execution from concept through production.
This role requires excellent program management skills, technical understanding of server hardware, firmware, diagnostics, manufacturing processes, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across engineering, operations, suppliers, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end technical programs involving hardware, firmware, cloud infrastructure, and operations teams.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and executive status reporting.
- Coordinate activities across hardware, electrical, mechanical, firmware, validation, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
- Drive firmware readiness including BIOS, BMC, diagnostics, and platform software alignment with hardware milestones.
- Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) activities including EVT, DVT, PVT, pilot builds, and manufacturing readiness.
- Facilitate FMEA sessions, monitor mitigation activities, and ensure quality improvements are incorporated into development.
- Partner with cloud telemetry and diagnostics teams to improve monitoring, predictive maintenance, and field reliability.
- Manage engineering change processes including ECOs, component updates, sustaining engineering, and product lifecycle activities.
- Lead technical issue triage, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and resolution tracking.
- Identify program risks, develop mitigation plans, and proactively manage project dependencies.
- Drive stakeholder communication and executive reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Support Agile delivery practices, sprint planning, release management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 7–12+ years of Technical Program Management or Project Management experience.
- Strong experience managing complex hardware, firmware, or cloud infrastructure programs.
- Solid understanding of server or PC hardware architecture.
- Experience with hardware bring-up, BIOS, BMC, firmware validation, and diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience managing New Product Introduction (NPI) programs including EVT, DVT, and PVT phases.
- Strong knowledge of FMEA methodologies, quality engineering, and risk management practices.
- Experience with cloud telemetry, remote diagnostics, and field data analytics.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and external suppliers.
- Experience driving technical issue resolution and root cause investigations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale server, cloud, or data center infrastructure programs.
- Knowledge of hardware manufacturing and factory operations.
- Experience with engineering change management (ECO/ECN).
- Familiarity with quality systems and reliability engineering.
- PMP, Agile, Scrum Master, or similar project management certification is a plus.
- Experience working with enterprise technology organizations or hyperscale cloud environments.
