PLC, Controls & Robotics Engineer

PLC, Controls & Robotics Engineer We’re hiring a PLC, Controls & Robotics Engineer to work on advanced automation projects that combine robotics, CNC machine integration, and industrial control systems.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll be directly involved in designing, programming, and commissioning complete automated manufacturing solutions used by leading engineering customers across the UK and internationally.

What You’ll Be Doing * Programming and commissioning PLC-based automation systems * Developing HMI solutions for industrial machines and cells * Working with FANUC robots (integration, programming, and support) * Integrating robots with CNC machine tools and production systems * Working across industrial networks (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, TCP/IP) * Supporting full system builds, including electrical wiring, panel build, and mechanical fitting * Commissioning systems on customer sites (UK and overseas travel) * Troubleshooting and supporting FAT/SAT and live production systems * Implementing and validating machine safety systems (PLC safety & robot DCS) Why This Role? * Work on real, high-value automation projects from concept to completion * Mix of office, workshop, and on-site commissioning work * Exposure to robotics, PLCs, CNC machines, and full system integration * UK and international travel with varied, interesting projects * Strong technical development and hands-on learning opportunities Requirements * Level 4 (or equivalent) in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics or similar * Full UK driving licence
