MRO Business Analyst / Functional SME
Onsite — Atlanta, GA or Minneapolis, MN

Only W2 (No C2C)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced MRO Business Analyst / Functional SME with deep airline maintenance and engineering domain expertise to support leading North American airline TechOps initiatives, including business process transformation, MRO system modernization, and TRAX-related programs. The candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving process improvement, requirements definition, and solution design across the MRO value chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead workshops and interviews with business stakeholders across TechOps functions.
  • Document and analyze current-state (AS-IS) processes and define future-state (TO-BE) processes.
  • Gather, prioritize, and manage functional requirements for MRO initiatives.
  • Support MRO platform implementations/migrations (e.g., TRAX, RAMCO, SCEPTRE, AMOS, SAP MRO).
  • Analyze and optimize processes across:
    • Maintenance Planning & Scheduling
    • Line Maintenance
    • Base Maintenance / Heavy Checks
    • Materials & Inventory Management
    • Procurement & Supply Chain
    • Engineering & Reliability
    • Warranty Management
    • Technical Records
  • Work with business and IT teams to define integrations, data requirements, workflows, and reporting needs.
  • Support testing, UAT, training, and change management activities.
  • Identify automation and AI opportunities to improve operational efficiency and KPI performance.

Required Experience

  • 8+ years of Business Analysis or Functional Consulting experience in Airline MRO/TechOps.
  • Strong understanding of airline maintenance operations and MRO business processes.
  • Experience with one or more MRO platforms:
    • TRAX
    • SCEPTRE
    • AMOS
    • RAMCO
    • SAP MRO/EAM
  • Experience in process mapping, requirements management, gap analysis, and solution design.
  • Ability to engage effectively with business SMEs, maintenance personnel, planners, supply chain teams, and IT stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large-scale MRO transformation or migration programs.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulatory processes, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), maintenance compliance, and technical records management.
  • Experience with inventory forecasting, parts management, and AOG processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Prior experience in a major airline TechOps organization preferred.
