Mainframe System Programmer (SMP/E)

Urgent Hiring | Mainframe System Programmer (SMP/E) | USA Remote | Contract

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe System Programmer to perform the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of z/OS and related IBM, BMC, and ISV products.

Required Skills:

• Installation, upgrade, and maintenance of z/OS and related IBM/BMC products
• Strong knowledge of SMP/E
• Experience with RACF and security-related products
• Good knowledge of system initialization and tuning
• Experience with SYSPLEX
• Knowledge of JES, PARMLIB, USS, and Coupling Facility
• Experience with HCD and IODFs
• Knowledge of Disaster Recovery exercises
• Strong understanding of DFSMS and storage concepts
• Knowledge of PL/I, COBOL, Assembler, REXX, Java for z/OS, Node.js, and Python for z/OS is preferred
