Senior Technology Manager – AI Enablement
Duration: 3–6 Months Contract to Hire
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
 
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Technology Manager – AI Enablement to lead an engineering team focused on developing and implementing AI/ML and Generative AI solutions across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate will combine strong people leadership, software engineering, cloud, AI/ML, and GenAI expertise with the ability to work closely with business and technology stakeholders. This role will be responsible for defining technical strategy, leading multiple AI initiatives, and ensuring secure, scalable, and production-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing AI/ML and software engineering team.
  • Define technical strategy and architecture for AI, GenAI, and automation solutions.
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Lead AI initiatives from design and development through deployment and production adoption.
  • Design and develop AI/ML, GenAI, RAG, and agentic AI solutions.
  • Work with LLM technologies such as GPT, Gemini, and Claude.
  • Leverage platforms such as Google Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI, and AWS Bedrock.
  • Promote automation and low-code/no-code solutions using technologies such as Microsoft Copilot Studio and Power Automate.
  • Establish and maintain DevOps, CI/CD, security, data governance, and engineering best practices.
  • Ensure AI solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, privacy, compliance, and governance.
  • Provide technical guidance and act as an AI advisor to business and technology leaders.
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives and communicate progress, risks, and business value to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of people management experience, including leading software or engineering teams.
  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience in cloud and distributed environments.
  • Strong experience with AI/ML and Generative AI solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with RAG, LLMs, agentic AI, and AI orchestration.
  • Strong Python development experience.
  • Experience designing and developing APIs and full-stack applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
  • Experience working with vector databases and AI data architectures.
  • Experience with cloud AI/ML platforms such as Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI, or AWS Bedrock.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, data analytics, and automation.
  • Strong experience with DevOps and CI/CD.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in enterprise environments with security, privacy, compliance, and governance requirements.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Finance, Healthcare, Financial Services, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience establishing or scaling an AI Center of Excellence or AI Enablement function.
  • Experience with agentic AI frameworks and orchestration tools.
  • Experience developing Copilot Studio agents and Power Automate workflows.
  • Knowledge of knowledge graphs, semantic layers, and advanced RAG architectures.
  • Understanding of Responsible AI and enterprise AI governance.
  • Experience presenting to and influencing senior/executive leadership.
  • Experience driving enterprise-wide technology adoption and change management.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
