Sr. Database Administrator I (6685) with Security Clearance

As Sr. Database Administrator I, you'll supports resolution of issues with production transaction and interface files fine-tuning database indexes and storage configurations, patches, and version upgrades. • Responsible for database maintenance, performance tuning, and security.
• Perform daily checks on both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments to ensure high availability, optimal system management, and smooth administrative operations.
• Run, verify, and manage daily database backups and archiving schedules to prevent data loss and guarantee reliable disaster recovery options.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks day-to-day by tuning slow-running queries, adjusting indexing, and optimizing overall database performance.
• Respond to immediate user issues and technical glitches that don't require full development lifecycles, such as troubleshooting user accounts or resolving portal access errors.
• Handle routine security and administrative updates, including modifying existing portal configurations and managing granular user permissions.
• Prepare for future system improvements by testing patches, software updates, and major database upgrades in a non-production environment.
• Keep a complete, accurate, and up-to-date library of technical documentation for all current and expanding database systems. What you'll need to succeed:
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases and hold relevant certifications, such as: Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, etc.
• Experience supporting the Department of Defense or another Federal Agency.

HOURLY RATE: $90,000 - $100,000 The hourly rate for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final rate offered will be determined based on several factors including:

• The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
• The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
• Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
• This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
• Performance-based bonuses
• Company-paid training and/or certifications
