Job Description

Supplier Quality Specialist - Supplier Qualification | Kassel, Germany | Hybrid

This employer is a leading systems house in the defense sector, combining innovation with tradition to develop, manufacture, and service a diverse portfolio of products including armored vehicles and artillery systems. The Role

  • Take strategic responsibility for national and international supplier release and development from a QM perspective.
  • Conduct supplier audits to evaluate their processes and standards, and perform supplier qualification.
  • Plan and execute supplier meetings and audits for qualitative evaluation, approval, and further development of suppliers.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of all necessary measures for supplier selection.
  • Prepare and conduct risk assessments of suppliers based on QM rating criteria.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholder communication, track corrective actions, and verify acceptance of delivered items at suppliers.
  • Approve initial samples and manufacturing/testing processes at suppliers.
  • Manage and consolidate product groups or projects from a supplier development perspective, including escalation management.

What You'll Need

  • Completed technical degree with several years of professional experience, or a technician with extensive relevant experience and additional qualifications.
  • Certified QM Auditor qualification is required; additional relevant qualifications are desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing techniques and proficiency in QM management tools such as FMEA, Ishikawa, 8D, or Kaizen.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of French is advantageous.
  • High willingness to travel and a structured, independent, and proactive work approach.
