The Appian Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Appian applications that support AMP's workflow and digital transformation initiatives. The role translates business requirements into end-to-end Appian solutions, ensuring high-quality delivery across design, development, testing, deployment, and support. The role contributes to building robust business process automation solutions, integrating Appian with enterprise systems, and ensuring solutions meet performance, security, and scalability requirements. It supports continuous improvement, maintains engineering standards, and works closely with cross functional teams to deliver seamless and reliable platform outcomes.
Appian Development & Solution Delivery- Design, develop, and configure Appian applications including process models, SAIL interfaces, records, and rules.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
- Build scalable and reusable components aligned to best practices.
- Support full solution lifecycle including design, build, testing, and deployment.
- Develop data models, records, and data integrations to support workflow solutions.
- Implement integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP APIs, and webservices.
- Ensure seamless data flow across Appian and enterprise platforms.
- Support API led integration design and implementation.
- Work with databases and data stores (SQL, relational databases).
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT processes.
- Debug and resolve issues across process models, interfaces, and integrations.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and coding best practices.
- Support defect triage and resolution activities across environments.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Appian applications to ensure performance and reliability.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of workflows and applications.
- Provide production support and assist in resolving incidents.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in application stability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to refine requirements.
- Work with cross functional teams including developers, QA, and DevOps.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
- 4-8 years of IT experience with at least 2-4 years in Appian development.
- Strong hands on experience with Appian BPM (SAIL, Process Models, Records, Interfaces, Expression Rules).
- Experience with Appian data types, records, and data modelling.
- Experience in integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and web services.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, and low code development practices.
- Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
