Software Developer – Industrial Data & IIoT Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Hybrid (circa 1 day per week in office) Recruiter: Renzo Talent – recruiting on behalf of a confidential client About the Role Renzo Talent are recruiting on behalf of a growing technology business based in Sheffield. Our client is a small, cross-functional engineering team building applications and data pipelines for manufacturing customers on an Industrial Data-Ops platform. They are looking for a Software Developer who writes Python and React and is keen to work hands-on with industrial data from plant-floor and OT systems. You will contribute directly to production applications from early on, working alongside senior engineers. You will also support colleagues delivering projects on customer sites — helping remotely with data connectivity, drivers, and troubleshooting. What You’ll Do

• Build end-user applications in React on an Industrial Data-Ops platform
• Build and maintain data pipelines in Python and SQL — ingesting, transforming, and contextualising industrial data
• Help design, build, and maintain the industrial knowledge graph that applications run on
• Support wider IIoT project delivery — from data ingestion and technical documentation to writing custom drivers and testing hardware What We’re Looking For Essential:
• 2–4 years of software development experience, or a strong recent graduate
• Working proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript (React experience a plus)
• Comfortable with SQL, JSON, and REST APIs
• A background in software or computer science — or in automation/engineering with solid hands-on coding skills Desirable:
• Manufacturing or industrial experience, ideally with exposure to OPC UA, MQTT, or Modbus
• Experience with time-series data and connectivity, including drivers and middleware such as KEPServerEX
• Experience building dashboards or data visualisations What’s on Offer
