Must have CMS experience and  Workfront, Figma, Frame.io, or similar tools.  Digital annotation, review, and project management tools (Workfront).

  • Strong working knowledge of AP Stylebook and experience applying brand-specific editorial guidelines.
  • Experience proofreading omnichannel marketing content, including web, email, CRM, social media, digital ads, presentations, print collateral and video scripts. • Experience reviewing AI-assisted content with the ability to evaluate accuracy, quality, tone and adherence to brand standards.


PURPOSE:

The Proofreader plays a role in protecting the quality, consistency and integrity of Hyatt’s global content. This position is responsible for proofreading a wide range of creative and marketing deliverables—including digital experiences, campaign assets, email, social media, web content, print collateral, presentations, video scripts and more—to ensure every piece meets Hyatt’s standards for accuracy, clarity, consistency, accessibility and brand voice.

The Proofreader partners closely with copywriters, designers, creative leads, project managers, marketers, localization partners and external agencies to deliver polished, guest-ready content across Hyatt’s portfolio of brands and global markets.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proofread marketing, digital, print and internal communications for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, typography, formatting and consistency.
  • Ensure all content aligns with Hyatt’s editorial standards and style guidelines.
  • Apply Hyatt’s editorial style guides, brand standards, terminology and proofreading best practices.
  • Identify and escalate content inconsistencies and errors before publication.
  • Conduct final quality assurance reviews prior to publication, launch or production across digital and print channels.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while consistently meeting production timelines and service-level expectations.
  • Contribute to the ongoing refinement of editorial guidelines, quality assurance processes and style documentation.

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional proofreading or copyediting experience within an in-house creative team, agency, hospitality, travel, retail or consumer brand environment.
  • Exceptional command of English grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax and editorial best practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide clear, constructive editorial feedback.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications and collaborative review platforms such as Workfront, Figma, Frame.io, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of accessibility principles, inclusive language and digital content best practices.
  • Experience supporting global marketing initiatives and collaborating with localization teams.

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
