Job Description

Position: Business Development Manager -Govt Sales

Location: Bangalore

Work Mode: WFO

Years of Experience: 5+ Years


Qualifications and Experience Required


  • Account management experience / Direct Sales in Microsoft, VMWare, Citrix, Symantec, Adobe, McAfee, Ubuntu, Hitachi, Oracle etc. products and solutions.
  • Experience in solution & consultative sales of IT & Network Services like Hosted Application, Mail Messaging, Managed IT and network servicesContact center / IT Infrastructure management tools / Telecom data services.
  • Experience in handling Govt/PSUaccounts / Accountmanagement and technicalsales.
  • Communicates effectively verbally including excellent presentation skills, (experience of presenting to large audiences e.g. seminars an advantage); communicates clearly in writing;strong relationship building skills.
  • Must be target oriented, self-starter and aggressive enough to achievethe defined targets.
  • Creative thinking'outside of the box'
  • the candidate must have strong relationships with vendors, partners,and OEMs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Acquiring new Govt/PSUaccounts & generating a healthy funnelin line with the targets.
  • Forecasting and achieving monthly business targets by offering bundled IT solutions to Govt/PSU customers.
  • Business planning strategy& Execution of the strategies for the assignedterritory.
  • Managing account relationship, senior level positioning, effective account mapping.
  • Excellent understanding of various softwareproducts and theirlicensing policies.
  • Understanding of assigned account'sorganizational structure and decision-making hierarchy.
  • Ability to make executive pitchesand presentations.
  • Strategic account planningskills with executioncapabilities.
  • Understanding of Indenting, Ordering and Paymentprocedure of the account.
  • Understanding of strengths, capability, experience and technology / solution area of focus.
  • Ability to understand / interpret client'skey requirements.
  • Generating Business from the assignedaccount / area for the products assigned
