Job Description

Job Title: Senior Guidewire PolicyCenter Integration & Configuration Developer

Location: Remote 

Employment Type: Contract

Experience: 7–8 Years Overall IT Experience (4–5 Years in Guidewire PolicyCenter)

Seeking an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Integration & Configuration Developer with 7–8 years of overall IT experience, including 4–5 years of hands-on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PolicyCenter configuration, integration, and Guidewire implementation projects within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Guidewire PolicyCenter configurations and integrations. 
  • Customize PolicyCenter components including Product Model, PCF screens, Business Rules, Workflows, and Data Model. 
  • Develop and support integrations using SOAP/REST web services, messaging, and batch processes. 
  • Configure and enhance Guidewire PolicyCenter functionalities based on business requirements. 
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. 
  • Participate in requirements gathering, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues. 
  • Develop reusable components and follow Guidewire development best practices. 
  • Prepare technical design documents, code reviews, and deployment documentation. 
  • Support Guidewire upgrades and cloud/on-premise implementations as needed. 

 

Required Skills:

  • Guidewire Expertise
  • 4–5 years of hands-on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration and integration. 

 

Strong experience with: 

  • PCF (Page Configuration Framework) 
  • Gosu Programming 
  • Business Rules 
  • Workflows 
  • Product Model 
  • Data Model Extensions 
  • Batch Processes 
  • Plugins 

Integration Skills

  • Experience developing integrations using: 
  • SOAP Web Services 
  • REST APIs 
  • Messaging Framework 
  • XML, JSON 
  • JMS or Messaging Queues 
  • Experience integrating PolicyCenter with external systems such as Billing, Claims, Document Management, and Third-Party Services. 

 

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE concepts. 
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL). 
  • Knowledge of source control tools such as Git, SVN, or Bitbucket. 
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions. 
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Guidewire PolicyCenter Certification is highly preferred. 
  • Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of InsuranceSuite architecture and Guidewire best practices. 
  • Understanding of Property & Casualty Insurance business processes. 
  • Experience with Guidewire upgrade and migration projects. 

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
