Sr Varicent Developer

job summary:

Our team is seeking a highly experienced Senior Varicent Developer to join our team on an immediate, critical project. We are currently utilizing the cloud-based SaaS version of Varicent to manage complex payment and compensation structures for our brokers and agents.

responsibilities:

• System Development & Configuration: Lead the day-to-day development, configuration, and enhancement of our cloud-based SaaS Varicent environment.
• Implementation Review: Conduct a thorough audit of the current Varicent implementation. Identify gaps, recommend best practices, and make necessary architectural and configuration changes to optimize system performance and accuracy.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and guide the team. You will bridge the internal expertise gap and elevate the team's overall output.
• Business Alignment: Work closely with the business team to understand broker/agent payment structures, build comfort and trust, and translate complex business rules into technical configurations within Varicent.
• Production Support & Updates: Manage ongoing daily development updates, troubleshooting, and system adjustments as new business needs arise.

qualifications:

Experience: 10+ years of Varicent software development and systems configuration experience.

Varicent Expertise: Deep, hands-on expertise in Varicent (Cloud/SaaS product). You must be capable of architecting solutions and configuring the platform from scratch or auditing existing builds.

Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in the Insurance industry is required.

Leadership: Proven track record of guiding and mentoring mid-level developers and offshore/vendor teams.

Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface directly with business stakeholders and build confidence in technical solutions.
