MDM ETL Specialist / Developer

Summary: We are seeking an experienced MDM ETL Specialist / Developer to provide technical development, implementation, and production support for Master Data Management (MDM) solutions. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining MDM services that enable a unified enterprise view of customer, member, or client data across multiple systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Informatica MDM, Informatica PowerCenter, ETL development, data integration, data quality, and data governance. This role will work closely with technical leads, data engineers, QA teams, business analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop scalable data integration solutions, support production operations, troubleshoot issues, and improve overall data quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Master Data Management (MDM) solutions using Informatica MDM.
• Develop and support ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter, including mappings, mapplets, sessions, workflows, and reusable components.
• Build and optimize data integration pipelines from multiple enterprise data sources.
• Perform data transformations, cleansing, matching, standardization, and reconciliation to improve data quality.
• Automate data staging, scheduling, and execution of ETL workflows to improve operational efficiency.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for enterprise data processing.
• Utilize Python for scripting, automation, testing, and operational support where appropriate.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve ETL and MDM production issues while ensuring system reliability.
• Support QA activities by assisting with defect analysis, validation, and testing.
• Participate in unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with business analysts and technical teams to gather requirements and recommend technical solutions.
• Support data governance initiatives and ensure adherence to enterprise data standards.
• Document technical designs, implementation details, and operational procedures.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and project discussions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in ETL, MDM, Data Engineering, or Data Integration.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica MDM.
• Strong experience with Informatica PowerCenter development.
• Experience creating mappings, mapplets, sessions, workflows, transformations, scheduling, and monitoring ETL jobs.
• Strong SQL development skills with enterprise relational databases.
• Experience with data quality, data governance, matching, standardization, and master data concepts.
• Experience supporting production environments, troubleshooting ETL failures, and performance tuning.
• Experience using Python for scripting, automation, or data processing.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based or modern MDM platforms.
• Experience working with Azure, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, Snowflake, or Data Lake technologies.
• Experience with enterprise data warehouse (EDW) modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience with healthcare, insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
• Familiarity with interoperability standards such as XML, JSON, APIs, X12, EDI, or HL7/FHIR.
• Experience supporting cloud migration or digital transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to AI/ML, Generative AI, or automation technologies for development, testing, documentation, or data quality improvements.
