Our client is seeking an IT Business Analyst with strong analytical and technical skills to support client''s operations. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working with healthcare data, developing operational insights, and improving reporting through data analysis and automation.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze pharmacy operational data, build performance metrics, develop dashboards, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and data governance standards. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment where strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Work Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite and 2 days remote each week (Indianapolis, IN).

Important Notes

  • Candidates should have prior experience working with healthcare, pharmacy, or HIPAA-regulated data.
  • This is not a Data Engineer or Product Manager role.
  • Candidates must have hands-on experience using SQL, Python, or R to perform data analysis and generate business insights.
  • Applicants without current coding experience in SQL/Python/R are unlikely to move forward in the interview process.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Data Analysis

  • Analyze pharmacy dispensing and fulfillment data to support operational decision-making.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain operational metrics using multiple data sources.
  • Improve reporting accuracy, automation, and overall data quality.

Performance Reporting & Dashboard Development

  • Build and maintain operational dashboards and reports.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Support finance and operational reporting through consolidated data views.

Business Intelligence & Insights

  • Perform data analysis using SQL, Excel, Python, and/or R.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within operational data.
  • Translate complex data into meaningful business recommendations.
  • Assist with operational issue resolution through data-driven analysis.

Data Governance & Compliance

  • Handle Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with covered-entity data governance policies.
  • Ensure appropriate separation of manufacturer and covered-entity data.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Data Science, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3–8 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst.
  • 1–3 years of experience working within a HIPAA-covered healthcare environment.
  • Strong proficiency in:
    • SQL
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Python or R
  • Experience analyzing:
    • Healthcare data
    • Pharmacy data
    • Claims or dispensing data
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and PHI handling requirements.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pharmacy operations or healthcare analytics.
  • Experience developing dashboards and operational reporting.
  • Understanding of healthcare data governance practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
