Mechanical Maintenance EngineerLocation: Dudley, West MidlandsSalary: £40,000 – £45,000Hours: Rotating 2 Shift Pattern (6:00am–2:00pm / 2:00pm–10:00pm)Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentA leading steel processing company in Dudley is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join its established maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent role offering career stability, overtime opportunities, and an excellent benefits package.The RoleAs a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on plant machinery.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Complete welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs.
• Perform oxy-acetylene burning and bench fitting.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, and overhead cranes where required.

About You

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering.
• Time-served apprenticeship preferred.
• Previous mechanical maintenance experience within heavy industry or manufacturing.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and fabrication.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
