ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking an Application Developer for a contract, hybrid role based in Morris Plains, NJ. In this position, you will play a key role in the development, enhancement, support, and maintenance of business-critical applications, reporting, and analytics solutions. This hybrid role combines hands-on application development with business analysis and data support responsibilities. You will partner closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and deliver tools that drive operational efficiency and informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in C#, .NET, and SQL, as well as the ability to conduct data analysis, validation, and quality assurance. Experience with AI tools is considered a plus.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Support and maintain web-based, self-service reporting applications for internal teams, clients, and brokers.
• Partner with business stakeholders and technology teams to gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Conduct data research, analysis, validation, and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reporting solutions.
• Perform Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate system functionality and readiness for production deployment.
• Build and support business applications and system integrations using C# and SQL.
• Translate business requirements into scalable application and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tools that drive operational efficiency and informed decision-making.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for business-critical applications and analytics solutions.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying, validating, and analyzing complex datasets.
• Experience supporting business applications, reporting platforms, or analytics solutions.
• Experience utilizing C# or .NET.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to learn new systems, technologies, and business processes quickly.
• Experience working with AI or utilizing AI tools is a plus.
