RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in Redmond, WA that is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Specialist.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Support Specialist to support logistics, procurement, and project coordination activities within a technology and R&D lab environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely handling of inbound and outbound shipments, inventory tracking, and asset management across teams. The ideal candidate brings hands-on shipping/receiving experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders in a fast-paced setting.

Shipping & Receiving

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming packages and deliveries
• Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and invoices
• Identify and resolve discrepancies, damages, or defects
• Prepare outbound shipments, including picking, packaging, labeling, and documentation
• Maintain a clean, well-organized shipping and storage workspace

Inventory & Asset Management:

• Track equipment and assets as they arrive on site
• Maintain accurate inventory and asset records
• Partner with local teams to forecast and manage consumable inventory usage

Project & Process Support:

• Support procurement and project coordination workflows
• Maintain accurate records of all inbound and outbound shipments
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audits, and regulatory requirements
• Interface with cross-functional teams across multiple geographic locations

Collaboration & Tools:

• Communicate effectively with technical staff, business leaders, and senior stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years of experience in shipping/receiving, logistics, warehouse operations, customer support, or procurement
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Preferred:

• Experience supporting R&D labs, cleanroom environments, or sensitive equipment
• Background in science, engineering, or lab technician work
• Familiarity with Microsoft-based tools and systems

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
