Sr or Staff Software Engineer

Our client is an innovative technology company that's looking to add a Staff Software Engineerto its growing engineering team. This is an opportunity to build enterprise-grade software and AI-powered applications while partnering with stakeholders to solve complex business challenges through modern technology.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable full stack applications and cloud-native systems.
• Develop robust APIs, backend services, and modern web applications.
• Architect and implement AI-powered applications, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation solutions.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities where technology can improve business operations.
• Lead technical architecture and system design while remaining hands-on with development.
• Ensure applications are secure, reliable, scalable, and production-ready.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of full stack software engineering experience.
• Experience building enterprise-grade applications from end to end.
• Proven experience leveraging AI development tools to build production applications, including technologies such as Claude Code, custom MCP, skills, and backend-as-a-service platforms.
• Strong experience with Python, React, Next.js, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience designing scalable APIs and cloud-based architectures.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML into production systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.

Location:New York City (Hybrid)

Compensation:$250,000-$300,000 base salary + bonus + equity.
