Quality Assurance Specialist (Deployable) with Security Clearance

Duties

• Ensures contractor compliance with all requirements related to the design, manufacturing, repair, overhaul, and modernization of a variety of items for contractor and customer activities throughout the world.
• Applies a wide range of methods, principles, and practices directly related to quality contr ol/quality assurance fields; statistical analysis, contr ol and sampling, quality data analysis and evaluation to determine contractor compliance.
• Incorporates a thorough and detailed QA knowledge in applying various methods and techniques for investigating, analyzing, and ensuring corrective action on complex quality problems.
• Develops and implements a surveillance plan which begins with clear objectives supported by a master schedule that includes identification of contractor and sub-contractor production needs.
• Performs audits/surveillance of contractor's processes to ensure customer and contractual requirements are met. Requirements Conditions of employment

• Selectee is required to be exempt from recall to the military Reserves.
• Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:

• Applying the full range of principles, concepts, and methodologies related to the quality assurance functional programs.
• Establishing process measurement points and statistical techniques/methods to measure, analyze, and continuously improve processes.
• Applying process-related practices, methods, and techniques such as statistical analysis; contr ol and sampling; process proofing; and quality data analysis, in order to evaluate Government and contractor data and determine contractor compliance with the many aspects of quality contr ol.
• Performing investigations of defective material for cause and corrective action and initiate process improvements with the contractor as needed. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level. Additional information This is a permanent GS-12 position. Upon deployment overseas, the employee will be temporarily promoted to the GS-13 grade level, if eligible, for the duration of the deployment. Upon return to CONUS the employee will be changed to lower grade to the permanent grade level. If you do not meet the Time in Grade or Specialized experience for the temporary promotion, you will deploy at the lower grade level, GS-12. Once the four year commitment is successfully met you will be placed into a non-deployable position in the CMO for which you were hired at the permanent GS-12 grade level

• Generally, indoor work location has power, water, heating, and air conditioning, although outages should be expected.
• Selectee will receive danger pay and foreign post differential as authorized for overseas location to which deployed.
• U.S. Citizenship is required. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
• Position requires employee to wear uniform and/or protective clothing.
• This position is designated as Emergency-Essential (E-E). In the event of a crisis situation, incumbent will be subject to deployment on a TDY basis to overseas duty location(s) to perform assigned duties particular to the deployment.
