The Role
- Lead system administration for both Linux and Windows-based systems within secure, mission-critical environments.
- Architect, manage, and maintain complex server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure (VMware, KVM).
- Ensure OS installation, configuration, hardening, and patching comply with relevant security standards and policies.
- Monitor and tune system performance, perform root cause analysis, and efficiently resolve complex issues.
- Oversee backup/recovery strategies, disaster recovery planning, and continuity of operations.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure as code using tools like Ansible, PowerShell, and Bash.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field with 8-12 years of experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- Active Top Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CASP+, CISSP).
- Demonstrated experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server administration.
- Proficiency in virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM) and automation/scripting (Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Familiarity with STIG compliance, system hardening, ACAS scans, and RMF processes.
