Job Description

The Integrated Planning and Reporting Officer supports and coordinates Council's Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) processes across the organisation, ensuring planning, reporting and engagement activities align with legislative requirements and established Council frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a working awareness of the legislative requirements of the Local Government Act 1993 and Local Government Regulation 2021 as they relate to Integrated Planning and Reporting and community engagement.
  • Support and coordinate Council's Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) framework, document and publication schedules, internal consultation processes and information quality assurance.
  • Assist with the preparation, updating and internal review of Council's Integrated Planning and Reporting documents, in accordance with the NSW Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework including:
    • Community Strategic Plan
    • Community Engagement Strategy
    • Resourcing Strategy
    • Delivery Program
    • Operational Plan
    • Annual Report
    • End of Term Report
  • Maintain information within Council's corporate planning and reporting IT system, including data entry, document and records management, process documentation and user support, and provide training on established processes.
  • Support the preparation of corporate progress and performance reporting materials, including quarterly and annual reporting, and prepare reports to Audit Risk and Improvement Committee, Council and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist with administrative and coordination support for Council's annual Community Satisfaction Survey by supporting contact with the approved external provider, assisting with survey administration tasks, and contributing to the compilation and documentation of survey results.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business, Communications, Graphic Design, Publishing), and/or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated advanced computer literacy
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or coordinating corporate planning, reporting or community engagement processes
  • Demonstrated strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate information from multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work self directed

  • Salary from $80,179 to $90,253 per year (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 12% superannuation
