Multi-Skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer
West Midlands, Permanent Shift Pattern: Permanent Nights - Sunday to Thursday, 10:00pm to 6:00am
Salary: £61,600 per annum + benefits
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical bias to join the engineering team in the West Midlands.
Working permanent night shifts, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of production machinery and site equipment.
Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
Perform electrical fault finding on PLC-controlled equipment, drives, sensors, motors, inverters, and control panels.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Complete maintenance records accurately using the site's CMMS system.
Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety procedures and company standards.
Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, and improvement projects.
Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to achieve operational targets.
Essential Requirements
Hold a recognised electrical engineering qualification, such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, apprenticeship, or equivalent.
Proven experience working as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a fast-paced manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Experience working with automated production equipment.
Good mechanical maintenance knowledge, including bearings, conveyors, gearboxes, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Ability to work independently and make effective decisions during night shifts.
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
