Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a UI Developer with strong front-end development and test automation expertise to design, build, and maintain scalable UI applications and test frameworks using React/Angular, Playwright, and AWS cloud services. The ideal candidate combines hands-on UI engineering skills with a strong automation/QE mindset, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and maintainable web applications deployed on cloud infrastructure.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS

Candidates should have most or all of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 3 to 8 years of experience in front-end application development and UI test automation.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing modern web applications using React and/or Angular.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing automated UI testing frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript (Python experience is a plus).
  • Experience building and maintaining end-to-end (E2E) test automation within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including services such as S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudFront, and CodePipeline.
  • Strong proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
  • Experience consuming and validating RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with backend services.
  • Experience with source control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or similar automation platforms.
  • Experience performing cross-browser, cross-device, and responsive UI testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, automation best practices, and quality engineering principles.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive UI components using React and/or Angular - Mandatory Skill
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated UI test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript or Python) - Mandatory Skill
  • Build and maintain end-to-end (E2E) test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines
  • Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications leveraging AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, EC2, CloudFront, CodePipeline)
  • Collaborate with backend/API teams to validate integration points and data flows
  • Identify, triage, and document UI defects; work closely with development teams to resolve issues
  • Develop reusable, modular test frameworks and component libraries to improve efficiency
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent UI behavior
  • Integrate automated tests with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or similar)
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, BAs, and QA leads to translate requirements into test cases
  • Contribute to code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.

Note - Playwright, Angular, and UI are the most important skills here, candidates must be strong in these areas!
