Software Engineer-Systems 4 with Security Clearance

Our client is currently seeking a Software Engineer-Systems 4 El Segundo, CA (Active Secret Clearance - required) Long Term Service Job Description: This senior position requires proven experience within the software ecosystem, a unique background of project experience, and the clear exhibition of superior judgment and decision making to engineer new solutions and capabilities. Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills are required! Position Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain requirements, architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and design for high-performance Command and Control (C2) software solutions. • Lead software development activities in the scaled agile methodology utilizing a DevSecOps environment. Supporting software development activities and integrating completed software components into a fully functional software system. • Support progress demonstration presentations to customer representatives and program/IPT leadership. • Perform day-to-day activities in the areas Product Owner/Technical Lead, Release Train Engineer/Scrum Master, and/or Integration & Test lead. • Support IPT by implementing a structured approach to defining and meeting a development and integration schedule alongside a rigorously managed cost baseline. Required Skills: • Bachelor's Degree • 5+ years of experience with software development for space systems and ground segments performing command, control, mission planning and data processing • 5+ years of experience in the Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test) • 3+ years of experience leading software development projects • 3+ years of experience with software development using either Java, C++, or Python • Experience working in an Agile software development environment and DevOps methodologies • Requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance Preferred Skills: • Experience as a Product Owner/Technical Lead and/or Integration & Test Lead for government programs. • Understanding of Command and Control (C2) systems, real-time applications, and their specific requirements. • Experience with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL), messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, ActiveMQ), and data streaming technologies (e.g., CCSDS). • Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms. • Strong experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to automate testing, builds, and deployment workflows. • Experience with various formal acceptance testing activities (e.g., Formal Qualification Test -FQT, Factory Acceptance Test - FAT, Site Acceptance Test - SAT) • Active TS/SCI or DoD Top Secret clearance.
