Business Analyst Profile

Overall need: Approximately 7 BAs, with different allocations across trading, reporting, UI, backend, API/external transmissions, and other areas.

Core skills across the BA population

• Strong data analysis and data fluency
• Data lineage and data mapping
• Understanding of systems of record and system changes
• Translating data/system findings into clear business and functional requirements
• Experience with data flows, APIs, and business logic
• Ability to partner closely with engineering and technical teams
• Strong SQL capability
• Ability to analyze current-state environments and identify gaps
• Strong communication and requirements documentation

Trading-focused BAs

• Financial services/trading experience is preferred but not required
• Strong technical aptitude; systems analyst background is a plus
• Understanding of regulatory environments
• Data lineage/mapping experience
• Ability to work through complex systems and dependencies
• Comfortable going deep technically and then translating findings for business stakeholders

Reporting-focused BAs

• 1 2 resources may specifically focus on reporting
• Strong data skills plus ability to understand reporting/user needs and insights
• Experience with Oracle databases
• Power BI
• Adobe Analytics
• SQL
