Job Description

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to be the first marketer at a well-funded B2B developer tools company, building the brand, content engine, and go-to-market narrative from scratch. You'll work in close creative partnership with the CEO — who will be an active marketing collaborator, not a hands-off delegator — to define positioning in a category still taking shape. Your work will directly shape how technical buyers understand and adopt the product.

What You'll Do

  • Own product marketing strategy, positioning, and competitive differentiation for an audience of engineers and product leaders.

  • Build a long-form content strategy — blog posts, guides, and educational material — rooted in real customer use cases designed to earn organic attention.

  • Craft messaging and talk tracks that make complex product value clear and compelling to developer audiences.

  • Own the website strategy, ensuring it speaks directly to customer problems rather than just listing features.

  • Activate founder and team voices across social, newsletters, and industry channels to build authentic presence.

  • Lead pipeline and awareness programs including developer conferences, executive dinners, and targeted campaigns.

  • Build competitive collateral and frameworks that sharpen GTM team conversations in the field.

  • Establish the systems, processes, and infrastructure of a marketing function from the ground up.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years in product marketing, growth marketing, or content marketing in B2B environments.

  • Demonstrated experience marketing to technical buyers — engineers, product leaders, developer audiences — with a strong grasp of how they evaluate solutions.

  • Solid product marketing fundamentals: positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation, and launch execution.

  • Exceptional writing skills that translate technical complexity into clear, compelling narratives.

  • Track record of building earned content that drives organic engagement and measurable business results.

  • Comfort and confidence owning the full marketing function independently, building systems rather than just operating within them.

  • Experience with demand generation including developer conferences, executive engagement, and pipeline creation.

  • Background in developer tools, APIs, infrastructure software, or AI products strongly preferred.

  • Experience building founder or executive thought leadership programs is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $102,000 – $208,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
