NEC CORE SYSTEMS SME - INITIALLY A PART TIME ROLE, THEN OPPORTUNITY TO MOVE FULL TIME
UP TO £250 P/H OUTSIDE IR35
Please note: Due to the nature of the project, successful applicants will be required to be SC cleared prior to appointment
My client is a global leading consultancy. They are on the hunt for an experienced NEC Policing Systems SME/Application Architect to support an initial assessment of NEC applications and advise on the risks and requirements involved in transitioning application support.

- NEC DSx - Integrated Communications Control
- NEC UNIFI - Crime & Intelligence RMS
- TotalMobile GRS - Duties/Rostering (desirable)
Key Requirements:
- Hands-on experience supporting, configuring or architecting ControlWorks, DSx and UNIFI.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, configuration, versions, interfaces and vendor support.
- Experience within policing, Defence or similarly secure environments.
- Ability to identify support requirements including access, licences, documentation, runbooks, known defects and vendor dependencies.
- Able to assess operational and transition risks across critical policing systems.
- Credibility to challenge incumbent suppliers/vendors and identify knowledge or support gaps.
Initial Assignment - Support a small number of workshops and provide an application-by-application assessment covering key support risks, knowledge gaps, dependencies and recommended actions for the first 30 days.
Ideal Background - NEC Systems SME, Application Architect, Senior Application Support Lead, Police Systems SME or former MoD Police Systems SME.
This temporary contract is outside IR35 and will be delivered on a statement-of-work basis. The supplier will determine the method, resources, and approach to deliver the agreed outcomes
This temporary contract requires the successful candidate to undergo and be eligible for UK Security Vetting at SC/DV level. Clearance sponsorship will be provided where required. Due to the nature of the work, candidates should meet the relevant residency requirements. If applicable, reserved post nationality restrictions will be confirmed by the client.
