Position: GenTax Developer

Duration: 10 Months

Location: Maine (100% Remote)

 

Job Description:

• The Programmer will be assigned job assignments to configure the STARS application.
• Responsible for analysis, design, coding, testing, and documentation.
• Will code enhancements and develop required fixes to production problems using the functional and technical programming standards of the GenTax system.
• The tool set will include C#, PostgreSQL, and Visual Studio.
• Execute the required steps for implementing SQR change requests in the FAST Gentax system and tracking changes in the Fast Central Repository (FCR) following the project standards.
• Coordinate their work with other software developers.
• Participate in structured code reviews and walkthroughs.
• The execution of all their responsibilities will be with little direct supervision of a team leader. These services are essential to improve efficiency and accuracy of tax processing.

Top 3 Skills:

• 5 years programming and 2-years of experience with one of the following FAST ENTERPRISES, LLC technology systems: Gentax, Fast DS-VS, Fast UI-PL, or Fast CSE. (Client is not interested in candidates that previously worked for FAST ENTERPRISES directly)
• Experience with Fast Core components
• C#, PostgreSQL, and Visual Studio

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of programming experience
• Minimum 2-years of experience with one of the following FAST ENTERPRISES, LLC technology systems: Gentax, Fast DS-VS, Fast UI-PL, or Fast CSE
• Experience with Fast Core components
• PostgreSQL
• Visual Studio
