Job Description

13+ years of experience in IBM Mainframe technologies with strong expertise in enterprise production support, infrastructure management, and technical leadership.
Provide technical oversight of vendor-managed mainframe operations, ensuring adherence to SLAs, ITIL best practices, and organizational standards.
Review and govern daily operational activities, incidents, root cause analysis (RCA), change requests, and release implementations to ensure system stability and availability.
Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex mainframe issues, providing expert guidance and timely resolution across mission-critical environments.
Demonstrate deep expertise in z/OS, Sysplex, WLM, JES, RACF, IMS (DB/DC), DB2 for z/OS, and CICS administration and operations.
Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, availability, resilience, and operational health while recommending automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Validate vendor technical recommendations, challenge solution approaches where necessary, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and operational objectives.
Identify technical risks, operational gaps, technical debt, and modernization opportunities to enhance the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of the mainframe platform.
Collaborate with enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to support platform upgrades, strategic planning, and future-state architecture initiatives.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and executive-level communication while driving operational excellence, governance, and continuous improvement across enterprise mainframe environments.
