Job Description –

seeking an experienced Senior Business Applications Analyst to support the configuration, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise packaged software solutions. This individual will serve as the subject matter expert for assigned application areas, partnering with business stakeholders to design, configure, and optimize system functionality that supports healthcare operations.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Facets Product Builds, healthcare insurance systems, and business application configuration. This is not a software development role—candidates should possess strong application configuration and business analysis experience rather than Java or C# development.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for assigned application areas, including business rules, system functionality, file structures, and data definitions.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements while translating them into scalable application solutions.
• Lead the development of Package Software modification requirements and Interface Design Specifications.
• Configure and maintain application tables and system configurations supporting complex business processes.
• Establish and maintain packaged software configurations while ensuring system integrity and data accuracy.
• Partner with business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful implementation and business readiness.
• Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and improve data quality.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
• Deliver configuration expertise and consultative support to business users and project teams.
• Support multiple business initiatives by providing application expertise and technical guidance.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including:
  • Solution Design
  • Application Configuration
  • Code Maintenance
  • Unit Testing
  • Technical Documentation
• Create test data and validate system functionality to ensure business requirements are met.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in ticket resolution as needed.

 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• 5+ years of Business Applications Analyst experience.
• In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience with Facets Product Builds and configuration.
• Experience supporting healthcare insurance applications.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex application issues.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple business teams.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare claims processing experience.
• Workflow configuration experience.
• Experience identifying business process improvements and solution recommendations.
• Experience supporting enterprise packaged software environments.
• Previous experience working within ticketing systems for production support.

 

What You'll Be Working On

The team is responsible for configuring benefits within the Facets platform to ensure healthcare claims are processed accurately. Responsibilities include both simple and complex product builds, ongoing configuration work, production support, and troubleshooting application issues while partnering closely with business stakeholders. New team members can expect approximately two weeks of shadowing during onboarding.
