Deputy Technical Ops Lead | Leominster, United Kingdom | Remote | £61,500.00 - £78,800.00

The Role
• Deputise for the Head of Technical Operations, overseeing daily IT operations and ensuring high availability of infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT staff, including conducting performance reviews and identifying training needs.
• Act as a senior escalation point for high-priority incidents, driving root-cause analysis and resolution.
• Oversee technical projects, system updates, and security implementations across networks, servers, and cloud environments.
• Review technical documentation, such as High-Level Designs and Low-Level Designs, on behalf of the Technical Operations Lead.
What You'll Need
• Typically 5-6+ years of experience in IT support, infrastructure, network engineering, or technical operations.
• Proven experience in a team leadership or supervisory role within an IT environment.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure (VPNs, VLANs, Firewalls, DNS), server administration, and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., Jira Service Desk, ServiceNow) and ITIL methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members effectively.
• An understanding of infrastructure and security best practices.
