E-Commerce Coordinator
Sales and Estimating Department
The details:
- Location: Petersfield, Hampshire
- Hours: 37 hours per week
- Salary: £25,000-£30,000, depending on experience
Our specialist sports and security fencing web shop is growing, and we're looking for an E-Commerce Coordinator to take ownership of it, from day-to-day platform management through to shaping the strategy behind it.
This role sits at the centre of our WooCommerce store, built on WordPress, serving both trade and public customers. You'll balance hands-on daily operations with input into the bigger picture: optimising the customer journey, boosting digital sales, and keeping our online product offering competitive.
Platform & Merchandise Management
You'll manage the day-to-day running of the WooCommerce store and WordPress backend, keeping product listings, fencing specifications, and pricing accurate, and configuring product variations and inventory levels. You'll work closely with technical teams on plugins and extensions, and partner with developers to ensure the site stays secure, up to date, and performing well.
Digital Marketing & Sales Strategy
You'll help shape digital sales strategies to improve conversion rates, build multi-channel campaigns using WordPress marketing plugins, and align email and social campaigns for trade audiences. You'll also optimise promotional campaigns and coupon codes for public customers, keeping an eye on competitor pricing and market trends.
User Experience & Customer Care
You'll map and optimise the full customer journey from landing page to checkout, identify and reduce cart friction, and implement abandoned cart recovery strategies. Monitoring online reviews to help maintain our service standards will also be part of the role.
Logistics & Operations
Working alongside procurement on stock levels, you'll configure WooCommerce shipping classes, zones, and delivery information, and coordinate with the warehouse team on order fulfilment and status updates.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience managing WooCommerce stores - ideally within construction, industrial, or fencing/trade sectors
- Strong technical knowledge of WordPress and WooCommerce, including plugin management
- Confidence with tools like Google Ads, GA4, Meta Ads, and SEO platforms (Yoast, RankMath)
- Excellent data analysis, cross-department communication, and UX optimisation skills
Why join us
We're a business built on heritage, with over a century of history behind us but we're always looking forward. We value integrity and doing right by our customers and each other, take real pride in the quality of our work, and stay curious, always looking for better ways of doing things. You'll be part of a genuinely collaborative team where every voice counts, and where we take a sensible, sustainable approach to how we grow.
