Simulator technician lll page is loaded Simulator technician llllocations: Perthtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: 119984 Description Perform complex assignments in office, on site, field, and laboratory environments; projects may be experimental or design related. Solve a variety of complex simulator and/or aircraft systems issues. Perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated systems. Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on simulators and associated simulator systems. Diagnose and correct complex problems on simulators and associated simulator systems. Utilize maintenance management systems to record and track maintenance activities. Train technicians in basic skills and provide technical training for other technicians. Complete all designated training activities and actively pursue continued professional development. Perform pre flight and post flight procedures on all simulators. Conduct visual alignments. Run and evaluate Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Approval Test Guide (ATG) / Qualification Test Guide (QTG) tests. Assist the Engineering Team with modifications, design changes, and software enhancements. Perform refurbishment and hardware modifications. Pursue knowledge and skills to enhance technical expertise. Perform software changes to correct issues on simulators and associated systems. Identify and coordinate efforts to correct training deficiencies. Support Group Lead in the day-to-day operations of maintenance activities. Learn and comply with CAE's Quality Management System. Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner. Perform logistics duties, including parts receiving, repair, testing, and validation. Conduct housekeeping functions to maintain simulators as required. Perform administrative tasks as required. Support the technical services group with assigned tasks. Minimum Qualifications 2-year technical degree or equivalent related training. Minimum of 5 years direct simulator experience, with at least 3 years of relevant experience for the assigned location. Proficiency with all types of test equipment. Proficiency with software diagnostics and utilities on at least one type of simulator. Strong troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite. Fluency in English and xxx (specify additional required language). Preferred Qualifications Ability to perform in-depth analysis and research for hardware modifications and upgrades. Ability to assist the CAE SimuFlite Engineering Team with modifications, design changes, and software enhancements. Ability to assist in the development and delivery of technical training for other technicians.
