Asset Management Specialist
Summary
Our client is seeking an IT Asset Management Analyst to support the full lifecycle of enterprise technology assets including hardware, software, and related infrastructure. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate asset records, supporting procurement and vendor activities, ensuring compliance, and helping optimize asset utilization across the organization. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with experience managing asset inventories, licensing, reporting, and documentation within a large enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of hardware and software assets including procurement, deployment, maintenance, reassignment, and retirement.
- Maintain accurate asset inventories and perform audits, reconciliations, and data validation activities.
- Monitor asset compliance, licensing, lifecycle status, and security requirements, and document remediation efforts for any issues.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and metrics related to asset inventory, compliance, utilization, costs, and lifecycle planning.
- Track software licenses, warranties, contracts, and service agreements to ensure accurate records and compliance.
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to fulfill technology needs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support asset-related activities for acquisitions, organizational changes, and enterprise initiatives.
- Create and maintain documentation, procedures, and best practices for asset management operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 2+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, IT Procurement, Inventory Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience with asset lifecycle management, inventory reconciliation, and compliance tracking.
- Solid understanding of software licensing, vendor management, contracts, and warranties.
- Experience creating reports, dashboards, and asset-related metrics.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred
- Experience with ServiceNow Asset Management, hardware Asset Management (HAM), or related modules.
- ITIL, ITAM, or related certifications.
