SEN / SEND Tutor | Burgess Hill, United Kingdom | Hybrid | £28 - £35 per hour

We're hiring for an impact-driven community organization dedicated to transforming the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Our mission is to raise the standard of education for vulnerable learners by providing flexible, creative, and trauma-informed support.

The Role

• Provide in-person, online, or hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children and young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Support pupils across KS1 - KS5, referred by local authorities and schools.
• Plan and deliver flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring sessions.
• Plan lessons and report on progress, providing regular feedback on student development.
• Work with a range of needs including MLD, SLD, and PMLD.

What You'll Need

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
• 2+ years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way.
• Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Enhanced DBS check (we can facilitate this).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
