Interim Management Accountant

A growing and ambitious SME technology business is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join its finance team on an interim basis for an initial 8-month assignment. Operating in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, the business is undergoing continued growth and requires an individual who can provide high quality financial reporting and support key operational decision-making.

Your New Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the monthly management accounts process across two revenue streams, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Production of monthly management accounts across two revenue generating business units.
• Preparation of accruals, prepayments and month-end journals.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of strong financial controls.
• Variance analysis and provision of insightful commentary on financial performance.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting activities.
• Assisting with year-end and audit requirements.
• Partnering with operational stakeholders to improve financial visibility and support decision-making.
• Supporting payroll activities and acting as a key finance contact for payroll-related queries.
• Identifying opportunities to streamline and improve existing finance processes.
