5+ years: Security compliance/audit evidence experience with NIST, PCI, HIPAA, FERPA
5+ years: Experience working with complex IT/web applications
5+ years: Leading meetings and preparing oral/written reports
5+ years: Acting as a liaison between business and IT teams
NIST Framework & Controls knowledge is mandatory
Strong documentation, communication, stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration

Core Responsibilities
Maintain and update System Security Plans (SSPs) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs)
Lead Authority to Operate (ATO) renewals and maintain 3-year ATO compliance cycles
Review security controls, risk assessments, compliance gaps and remediation activities
Manage and track POA&Ms (Plans of Action & Milestones)
Coordinate security evidence/artifacts with business owners, technical teams, security teams, vendors, auditors and project managers
Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions
Prepare management reports, metrics and trend analysis
Support mid/high-level incident response, including cyber-event detection, correlation, response and recovery
Provide compliance guidance across MDCR, MCSC and MiLEAP.

2+ years: Creating supporting documentation for IT/system audits
2+ years: Creating DRP, BCP and Incident Response Plans.
