Location: Euless, TX 75261 (On-Site).
Duration: 3+ Months Contract to Hire (3+ months as contractor then transition to Full-Time board employee of Client Pay Role).
While on Contract Client will be paying (Plus 8 paid holidays and 15 days PTO)
Job Description
We are seeking a Full Stack/Appian Developer with strong software development fundamentals who can contribute to enterprise application development and learn the Appian platform. The developer will assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining business process management (BPM) applications using Appian while supporting integrations with Oracle databases and backend systems.
Candidates with Appian experience are preferred, but strong full-stack, backend, application, or integration developers with relevant database and API experience will also be considered and trained on Appian.
Required Experience (2-5 years)
- Professional software, application, backend, or full-stack development experience.
- Strong programming fundamentals and experience with a modern development language such as Java, C#/.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases; Oracle SQL/PL/SQL, stored procedures, and database concepts are strongly preferred.
- Experience developing or supporting REST APIs, web services, system integrations, or application connectors.
- Experience troubleshooting application, integration, and/or database-related issues.
- Understanding of database performance concepts and query optimization.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn Appian and work with Appian SAIL, process models, rules, interfaces, and integrations.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new development platforms or technologies.
Preferred Experience
- Appian development experience, including SAIL, process models, interfaces, rules, and basic Appian components
- Experience with another low-code/workflow platform such as Power Platform, Pega, ServiceNow, Mendix, or OutSystems
- Experience working in enterprise or government environment
- Experience with business workflow, BPM, automation, or enterprise application development
Preferred Certifications
- Completed or actively pursuing Appian Associate Developer Certification.
- Oracle SQL certification or related database training
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of Appian BPM applications.
- Support the development of Appian interfaces, process models, rules, and integrations.
- Work with senior developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather and implement requirements.
- Support Oracle database development activities, including writing SQL queries and assisting with stored procedures.
- Help maintain integrations between Appian applications and backend databases.
- Troubleshoot application and database-related issues under guidance from senior team members.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Maintain technical documentation for applications and workflows.
- Support testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance activities.
