Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Impact Recruiting Solutions is currently seeking an Endocrinologist to fill an opening with a network of federally qualified community health centers located in Bronx, New York. This role focuses on providing specialized endocrine care to a diverse patient population in a collaborative, community-based healthcare setting.

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of endocrine disorders including diabetes mellitus, thyroid diseases (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, nodules, cancer), osteoporosis, pituitary and adrenal disorders, and metabolic syndromes.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, and interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management (insulin, thyroid hormones, etc.) and lifestyle modifications.
  • Order and interpret specialized endocrine testing such as glucose tolerance tests, thyroid ultrasounds, fine-needle aspirations, and hormone level assays.
  • Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, dietary modifications, and preventive care.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers and other specialists within the health center network to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, team meetings, and population health management efforts related to endocrine conditions.
  • Stay current with advancements in endocrinology research, treatments, and technologies through continuing medical education.
  • Contribute to community health education and outreach programs related to diabetes prevention and endocrine health awareness.

    • Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical School. Completion of approved residency in Endocrinology.
    • Licensure: Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC). Valid NYS and DEA License.
    • Experience: At least 1-year experience.
    • Technical Skills: Proficient in diagnosing and managing endocrine disorders including diabetes, thyroid diseases, osteoporosis, pituitary and adrenal disorders, and metabolic conditions. Experience with electronic health records.
    • Soft Skills: Ability to successfully interact and communicate with a diversified population. Strong clinical judgment, empathy, and patient-centered focus.
    • Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical School. Completion of approved residency in Endocrinology.
