Senior Systems Administrator (Laurel, MD)

Basic Requirements:

• Security+ Cert
• 20 years experience as a system engineer
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
  • 5 additional years of experience as a system engineer may be substituted for a degree

Job Description:

• Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration.
• Configure and manage Linux operating systems alongside Windows 10/11 and Windows Server.
• Install/load operating systems software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Customer environment lacks a standardized framework.
• Candidate must be an advanced self-starter who can adapt immediately to shifting priorities

Required Experience:

• End-User Support: Help desk support across all levels (both in-person and via phone)
• Systems Administration: Linux Server administration alongside Windows 10/11 and Windows Server
• Configuration Management: Automation utilizing Puppet and Ansible
• Scripting & Development: Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Python, and Bash
• Infrastructure: NetApp storage management and Network administration Vmware, Horizon
• Core work hours 6am to 6pm.
• Tier 1-3 support
