Senior Power Electronics Engineer

About the Role

Join a small avionics team designing power systems and electronics for hypersonic flight vehicles. You will own hardware subsystems end to end, from initial design through testing and production integration.

What You'll Do

• Design power electronics PCBAs, including motor controllers, DC-DC converters, inverters, power switches, and power distribution systems.

• Take hardware from schematic design through bring-up, debugging, validation, and production integration.

• Define subsystem requirements and shape power system design in the context of the full vehicle.

• Develop high-voltage and high-current systems for actuators, power filtering, and mission-critical avionics power buses.

• Support power electronics for ground systems as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Three to 15 years of hands-on power electronics design experience, including circuit design and PCBA development.

• A BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Experience with Altium or an equivalent PCB design tool, and circuit simulation tools such as SPICE and MATLAB/Simulink.

• Experience owning hardware from design through bring-up, validation, and production, with practical hardware design and debugging skills.

• Background in aerospace, defense, automotive, robotics, or another hardware-intensive field; flight hardware or high-reliability systems experience is valued.

• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, and eligibility to obtain a security clearance.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
