Quantitative Analyst

We're working with a highly respected global hedge fund that is expanding its quantitative trading capability. The organisation combines cutting-edge technology with quantitative research to develop systematic trading strategies across international financial markets. With a collaborative, engineering-led culture, you'll work alongside experienced researchers, traders, and software engineers to support the continued evolution of sophisticated trading systems.

As a Quantitative Analyst, you'll play a key role in supporting and enhancing the firm's trading infrastructure. Working closely with front-office teams, you'll help maintain high-performance trading strategies, analyse large-scale datasets, and contribute to the smooth operation of live trading environments.

Key responsibilities as a Quantitative Analyst
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance the code supporting systematic trading strategies.
  • Handle large data sets used in the production and research environments.
  • Conduct monitoring tasks on trading activities.
  • Work in collaboration with quant researchers and traders to manage the changing needs of the trading desks.
Qualifications needed for a Quantitative Analyst
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • Strong programming skills in at least one major language such as Python, C++, or Java.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
  • A proactive approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Additional desirable Qualifications for Quantitative analyst
  • Knowledge of Q/KDB+
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and Bash scripting.
  • Additional knowledge of quantitative methods, statistical modelling, or financial markets would be advantageous.
